California Children’s Services (CCS)

Mission

The Tehama County Health Services Agency is committed to a healthy community through the use of health education, prevention, assessment, early intervention and treatment with follow-up. Our Children’s services division caters to our youngest residents.

Services Offered

Tehama County is a “Dependent” county for the CCS program, this means we do not approve or deny requests, we serve as a liaison between the providers, families, and the state. We send all requests to the state for review and determination. We enroll clients into the program, process Service Authorization Requests submitted by CCS providers, and provide families with medical care coordination to help the children attend specialist appointments out of the area. We also work closely with area schools and operate a Medical Therapy Program which provides Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy services to qualifying clients at the Medical Therapy Unit located at Vista Preparatory Academy.
